Performs a variety of tasks usually requiring cooking skills in the preparation, service, and clean up for meals served to patients and staff in the nursing center and other special events.

General Duties:

• Leads, plans, executes meal service and delivery for residents, staff, and visitors.
• Prepares meals/snacks according to center menus and procedures.
• Supervises dietary aides, cooks, and meal service.
• Follows production sheets and pre-preparation sheets or guidelines when appropriate.
• Hires, trains, and schedules dietary team members.

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand English for business necessity.
• Understanding of food preparation, sanitation, organization, and safety.
• Prior experience in food service preferred.
• Prior experience in long-term care preferred but not required.
• Associates degree or higher.
