Prep Cook

A Prep Cook facilitates the production of consistent high-quality food products, preparing baked goods and setting up work stations and ingredients.

• Safely and efficiently prepare all prepped items in accordance with recipe, procedure, and menu specifications.
• Adhere to all safe food handling and health department guidelines.
• Assist management in proper food storage, receiving, stocking, and rotation, abiding by dating procedures.
• Complete opening and/or closing duties.
• Back up DMO functions as requested.
• Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Read and properly execute recipes and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Ability to follow directions, work in a fast-paced, customer-responsive environment.
• Ability to work in a team environment and communicate with associates and management.
• Ability to safely operate mixers and other food preparation equipment.
• Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
• Minimum lifting, pushing, and pulling of up to 50 pounds.
• Pushing, bending, stooping, walking, upward reaching, manual dexterity, seeing, hearing, writing, verbal communication.
• Age requirements may apply to remain in compliance with State and Federal laws.
