The Cook/Baker in the School Nutrition Program is responsible for maintaining facilities and equipment in a clean and sanitary condition.
Performance Responsibilities include:
Minimum Qualifications include any combination equivalent to a high school diploma, GED certificate, or demonstrated progress toward obtaining a GED as required by Kentucky law, along with one year of food service experience. Completion of a training course for certification of beginning school food service personnel is required as prescribed in 702 KAR 6:045, with annual re-certification necessary.
Additionally, candidates must be able to understand oral and written directions, work closely with other members of the organization, and possess some knowledge of materials, methods, and equipment used in food preparation, as well as the hazards and safety precautions involved in food preparation.
Terms of Employment include salary and work year to be established by the board of education.
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of board policy for classified personnel.
