Job Description

Cold Prep Cook - Washington, DC

We are seeking a dedicated Cold Prep Cook to join our team at a private Seminary in Washington, DC. In this role, you will prepare and assemble cold dishes such as salads, appetizers, and desserts for our college community, ensuring all ingredients are fresh and properly stored. You will maintain the cleanliness and organization of the cold prep area while adhering to food safety and sanitation standards, including HACCP guidelines. Previous experience in cold food preparation is preferred, along with strong organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 11 a.m.-7 p.m.

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour

Time Commitment: Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Interact positively with SAGE guests and Team Members.
  • Maintain customer service areas to ensure guests enjoy amazing dining experiences.
  • Prepare assigned menu items in accordance with SAGE recipes.
  • Utilize proper food handling, storage, and sanitation techniques (HAACP).

Qualifications:

  • Experience as a prep cook or line server in a commercial kitchen is preferred.
  • Ability to understand and execute recipes and instructions in English accurately.
  • Ability to interact with SAGE guests and Team Members in a professional and positive manner, providing service with a smile!
