Job Description

Executive Sous Chef - Petite Cerise

Petite Cerise, a French-inspired, all-day dining concept, seeks a passionate and experienced culinary professional to join our team. This role, influenced by the changing seasons and classic techniques of Michelin-starred chef Jermemiah Langhorne and the team from The Dabney, is ideal for individuals with a deep love for regional French cuisine and culture, and a desire to mentor and manage BOH staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in all day-to-day operations, including scheduling, prep, ordering, teaching/coaching, inventory and food cost management, dish creation, and ongoing menu planning and execution (including for special events).

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of kitchen management experience in an upscale environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a leadership role.
  • Proficiency in French cooking techniques.
  • Thorough understanding of food safety and sanitation standards and the ability to enforce them.
  • Flexible work schedule.
  • Food Safety Manager Certification is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, professionalism, and maturity.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to inspire and build a strong culture that supports a common vision/goal.
  • Manage daily, weekly, and monthly budgets in regards to labor, COGS, and equipment.
  • Innate desire to excel in the hospitality industry.
