Job Description

We are looking for a Prep Cook 1 to join our team at CUT Restaurant by Wolfgang Puck. In this role, you will plan, prep, set up, and provide quality service in all areas of food production, including hot/cold menu items, line specials, appetizers, entrees, and staff meals, in accordance with standards and plating guide specifications.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining complete knowledge of and complying with all departmental policies, service procedures, and standards.
  • Maintaining knowledge of state sanitation/health regulations and hotel requirements.
  • Meeting with sous chefs to review assignments and anticipated business levels.
  • Reading recipes and prepping all dishes according to department standards.
  • Planning, preparing, and maintaining employee family meals and cafeteria setup.
  • Monitoring and rotating cafeteria food during open hours.
  • Completing opening duties and inspecting cleanliness and working condition of all tools and equipment.
  • Transporting supplies using the FIFO system and maintaining proper organization.
  • Disinfecting and sanitizing cutting boards and worktables routinely.
  • Assisting Stewards to make cleanup an efficient process.
  • Returning and rotating all food items to the proper storage areas at the end of the shift.
  • Exhibiting a friendly, helpful, and courteous manner when dealing with guests and fellow employees.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Chefs.

This position requires flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of culinary production standards, excellent teamwork skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.

  • High school diploma or equivalent education and culinary certification preferred.

  • Ability to follow and comprehend recipes.
  • Required to speak, read and write English; fluency in other languages preferred.
