Ocean Restaurant at the Cape Arundel Inn & Resort in Kennebunkport is looking for a Line Cook to join the team!

This role offers flexible scheduling for PM shifts. This full time year-round role qualifies for Full Time benefit options and employment perks.

The restaurant presents guests and visitors with elevated composed plates inspired by our local coastline and Maine farms. Situated on the cliffs overlooking the Atlantic on iconic Ocean Avenue in Kennebunkport, Ocean offers sweeping views of the ocean with a warm, inviting traditional New England atmosphere. Job Summary:

• Ensure that the kitchen, all food prep areas, and all food storage areas meet restaurant cleaning standards.
• Memorize and utilize our serving portion sizes and all basic meal prep procedures used in the kitchen.
• Monitor product freshness and rotate out old products based on a schedule created by the restaurant.
• Work with a team of cooks to do portion prep work for other shifts when needed.
• Prepare basic components of each dish on our menu using our proven recipes.
• Demonstrates strong organizational, multi-tasking, and communication skills.
• Follows the direction of the chef de cuisine in preparing for service.

• Minimum of 2 years working in a culinary position.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work on your feet for eight hours or more a day.
• Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds regularly.
