Job Description

CCL Hospitality Group is seeking an Executive Chef who will be an inspirational and organized leader, responsible for the overall success of daily kitchen operations including recruiting, training, and food preparation. This role involves showcasing culinary talents through the delivery of show-quality food and empowering the onsite staff.

The Executive Chef will lead daily culinary production, ensuring food quality and presentation while complying with safety and sanitation standards. Key responsibilities include:

  • Determining food presentation and creating decorative displays.
  • Providing direction on menu development based on product availability.
  • Maintaining product consistency by conducting inspections of food.
  • Preparing and cooking foods for special guests or functions.
  • Supervising cooks and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

In terms of business and financial acumen, the Executive Chef will:

  • Participate in developing and implementing business strategies.
  • Manage department controllable expenses, including food costs and supplies.
  • Analyze financial information to adjust business plans and operating costs.
  • Develop and manage the department's budget.
  • Oversee food inventory and purchasing.

Ensuring exceptional customer service is crucial, with a focus on:

  • Creating 100% resident satisfaction by providing team members with training.
  • Improving service and responding to guest needs effectively.
  • Empowering employees to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Seeking opportunities to enhance the customer experience.

For team building and management, the Executive Chef will:

  • Lead team member meetings and establish performance goals.
  • Solicit employee feedback and address concerns.
  • Provide necessary training and tools for team members.
  • Communicate performance expectations and provide ongoing feedback.

The preferred qualifications include:

  • A.S. or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience.
  • Hands-on chef experience is essential.
  • Knowledge of food quality, production, sanitation, and cost control.
  • ServSafe certification is highly desirable.
