Job Description

CCL Hospitality Group is looking for an Executive Chef to join our team. This position is based in Chicago, IL, and offers a salary range of $90,000 - $95,000 along with a $5,000 signing bonus and benefits. Relocation assistance is available.

As the Executive Chef, you will be an inspirational and organized leader who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves to ensure the overall success of daily kitchen operations. This includes:

  • Recruiting, training, and food preparation.
  • Showcasing culinary talents through the delivery of high-quality food.
  • Developing and empowering the onsite staff.
  • Continually improving resident, employee, and client satisfaction.
  • Maximizing financial performance in all areas of responsibility.

You will lead daily culinary production, ensuring food quality and presentation, compliance with all safety and sanitation standards, and overall profitability. Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Menu development and creating distinctive specials.
  • Researching customer preferences and incorporating local foods and flavors.
  • Supervising and coordinating activities of cooks and workers engaged in food preparation.
  • Monitoring the quality of raw and cooked food products.
  • Managing department controllable expenses.

To ensure exceptional customer service, you will create 100% resident satisfaction by providing team members with the training and resources they need. This includes:

  • Professional attitude and appearance in engagements.
  • Improving service through communication and individual coaching.
  • Empowering employees to provide excellent customer service.

Additionally, you will be responsible for regularly leading team member meetings, establishing performance and budget goals, and developing strategies that support team member engagement.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • A.S. or equivalent experience.
  • Hands-on chef experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food trends and sanitation.
  • Willingness to participate in client satisfaction programs/activities.
