CCL Hospitality Group is seeking an Executive Chef based in Chicago, IL, with a salary range of $90,000 - $95,000 and a $5,000 signing bonus plus benefits. Relocation assistance is available.

As an Executive Chef, you will lead daily culinary production, including meal preparation, food quality, presentation, and compliance with all safety and sanitation standards. Your responsibilities will also include:

• Determining food presentation and creating decorative food displays.
• Providing direction on menu development based on product availability.
• Maintaining product consistency through inspections of seasonings, portions, and food appearance.
• Researching customer preferences and developing a menu that incorporates local foods and flavors.
• Supervising and coordinating activities of cooks and workers engaged in food preparation.
• Communicating the importance of safety procedures and ensuring employee understanding of safety codes.

You will also participate in the development and implementation of business strategies for the community, manage department controllable expenses, and analyze financial and operational information to adjust business plans as necessary. Your role will include:

• Developing and managing the department's budget.
• Identifying major revenue and expense opportunities.
• Controlling food costs, labor, and other expenses.

To ensure exceptional customer service, you will create 100% resident satisfaction by providing team members with the training and resources they need to maximize engagement and deliver best-in-class service. You will:

• Improve service by communicating and assisting individuals to understand guest needs.
• Empower employees to provide excellent customer service.
• Seek opportunities to improve the customer experience by seeking resident feedback.

As part of your role in team building and management, you will regularly lead team member meetings and establish performance goals. You will:

• Solicit employee feedback and utilize an "open door" policy.
• Provide team members with coaching and counseling as needed.

Preferred qualifications include an A.S. or equivalent experience, along with a minimum of 5 years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience, and a comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends.
