View Boston, which encompasses the top three floors of the Prudential Tower, will feature immersive experiential exhibits and a bistro on the 50th floor, an indoor/outdoor cocktail lounge with a 360-degree outdoor viewing deck on the 51st floor, and a double high (24-foot) indoor viewing space on the 52nd floor. The destination, designed with the adventurer in mind, was created to be an attraction that welcomes locals and domestic and international visitors, being the ideal stop as they begin their Boston experience.

The Executive Sous Chef is responsible for managing and overseeing production, operation, and sanitation aspects of all culinary and stewarding operations throughout the View Boston Facility.

Essential Functions include:

  • Hands-on management of day-to-day operations of all food outlet kitchens.
  • Implementing and enforcing all departmental and organizational policies and procedures.
  • Assuring staff compliance with all standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Managing associates utilizing Sous Chefs and Lead Cooks.
  • Planning innovative menus, maintaining financial responsibility for the menu mix.
  • Overseeing inventory management to ensure all outlets are adequately supplied.
  • Maintaining effective vendor relationships.
  • Overseeing sanitation standards of all kitchens.

The ideal team member will have the qualifications listed above and must be able to perform each essential duty at the highest levels.

Skills Required extracted by

  • Degree or certification from an accredited culinary arts institute or apprenticeship certification from the American Culinary Federation.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience as an executive sous chef in a high-volume food industry.
  • Proven track record in improving kitchen efficiencies, quality, food, and labor costs.
  • Excellent managerial, financial analysis, team building and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of kitchen sanitation, operation, and maintenance of kitchen equipment.
  • Detail-oriented and extremely organized.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Flexible to work extended hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
