Job Description

We seek to provide comfort and joy, to care for, and nurture life by sharing our unique pastries, cakes, pies, breads, and treats. At Tatte, we bake everything from scratch and use high-quality ingredients. As a Pastry/Bread Mixer, you will identify and select ingredients, and prepare and mix dough, cookies, pies, pastries, and confections. Each day, you will mix a variety of items, including breads, while adhering to a predetermined mix schedule. In between mixes, you will assist the pastry and bread teams with shaping, baking, and scaling. The Pastry/Bread Mixer must thrive in a fast-paced work environment while adhering to cleanliness and sanitation standards for the entire kitchen and dish area. Most importantly, the Pastry/Bread Mixer takes pride in what they do and is a team player.

Your Recipe For Success:

  • Desire to help where needed and work as part of a team.
  • An appetite for learning (and delicious pastries).
  • Must be able to stand for 8+ hours per production shift/day.
  • Ability to kneel, grasp, and lift/carry/manipulate up to 50lbs regularly.
  • Consistent and reliable attendance.
  • Must be available to work day and late afternoons during the week, weekend, and holidays, as needed.

Position Requirements:

  • Ability or a willingness to learn to operate bakery manufacturing equipment such as deck ovens, proofers, rack ovens, fryers, etc.
  • Maintains the highest standards of product quality.
  • Communicates professionally, both in writing and verbally, with all bakery clients.

Other Preferred Skills:

  • Previous experience working in baking or a food manufacturing environment.
  • Prior experience in a high-volume production facility.
  • Familiar with Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English.

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in high-volume pastry production or a similar environment.

  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to learn to operate bakery manufacturing equipment.
