Job Description

CCL Hospitality Group is seeking an Executive Chef with a passion for exceptional hospitality to join our team based in Chicago, IL. This position offers a salary range of $90,000 - $95,000 along with a $5,000 Signing Bonus and benefits.

The Executive Chef will be an inspirational and organized leader who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves to ensure the overall success of daily kitchen operations, including recruiting, training, and food preparation. You will showcase culinary talents through the delivery of show quality food while developing and empowering the onsite staff. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading daily culinary production in meal preparation and production.
  • Ensuring food quality and presentation, compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
  • Directing menu development based on product availability and creating distinctive specials.
  • Monitoring food freshness and maintaining product consistency.
  • Preparing and cooking foods for regular and special guests or functions.
  • Supervising and coordinating activities of cooks and workers engaged in food preparation.
  • Participating in the development and implementation of business strategies for the community.
  • Managing department controllable expenses, including food cost and supplies.
  • Creating 100% resident satisfaction through team member training and engagement.
  • Establishing goals and soliciting employee feedback for continuous improvement.

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience.
  • Extensive catering experience (a plus).
  • High volume, complex foodservice operations experience (highly desirable).
  • Institutional and batch cooking experiences.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends.
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook.
  • ServSafe certified (highly desirable).
