Food Service Associate - Restaurant
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Service Associate to join our dynamic team. - Pre-Opening Responsibilities: Stocks food preparation stations, completes pre-opening requirements, and ensures adherence to safety and sanitation regulations.
- Operational Excellence: Maintains a smooth service period by properly stocking food products at line stations. Follows standard portion sizes, cooking methods, and quality standards; adheres to kitchen rules, policies, and procedures. Knows and adheres to health requirements, OSHA regulations, and Department of Labor regulations.
- Guest Focus: Provides excellent food quality and presentation to all guests in a timely manner. Demonstrates professionalism and attentiveness when engaging with guests.
- Maintenance and Organization: Maintains a clean and sanitary work station (including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, pasta cookers, sauté burners, convection ovens, flat top ranges, and refrigeration equipment). Ensures proper storage, labeling, dating, and rotation of food items to prevent health or safety hazards.
- Teamwork and Communication: Creates and maintains positive working relationships with other food and beverage and hotel personnel. Reports maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor; reports issues to the manager as they occur; and actively participates in monthly departmental meetings and training sessions.
- Adaptability and Problem Solving: Is knowledgeable of all aspects of departmental operations, including events and operating hours. Able to read and understand Banquet Event Orders (BEOs). Works large or small events with minimal supervision and in a team environment. Knowledge of and ability to perform required role during emergency situations.
- Post-Closing Responsibilities: Cleans kitchen and equipment and completes all pre-closing requirements.
- Proactive Approach: Takes action and goes the extra mile. Demonstrates initiative and a proactive approach. Anything that contributes to a positive culture and the success of the hotel. Other duties as assigned.
