Silver Tree Residential, LLC exists to provide the highest quality operations in senior and family housing communities. In 2016, Silver Tree Residential, LLC took over operations of Gambrill Gardens, LLC.

Gambrill Gardens is looking to hire a self-motivated and experienced EXECUTIVE CHEF in Ellisville, MO. We are a quality-driven kitchen focused on delivering the finest fresh food for our residents while being mindful of seasonal trends.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:

  • Overall supervision of the kitchen and dining room functions including supervising employees engaged in food service in the facility.
  • Develop departmental budget, maintain control of food and labor costs, and conduct inventory control system.
  • Develop and maintain departmental policy and procedure manual, job descriptions, and work assignments.
  • Develop the departmental staff education plan and conduct in-service training for personnel.
  • Develop the direct implementation of work standards, sanitation procedures, and personal hygiene requirements consistent with County, State, and Federal regulations.
  • Hire, train, discipline, supervise, and terminate Food Service department employees under the guidance of the Executive Director and Regional Vice President.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation of orientation and training, warning notices, and required in-services and health requirements.
  • Make rounds at mealtimes to assess the appropriateness of food service presentation, delivery, and make changes as needed.
  • Maintain documentation of special resident considerations for allergies, exemptions, and other relevant dietary exceptions.
  • Procure food and materials necessary to carry out the functions of the kitchen.
  • Maintain electronic POS system(s) and work-related departments on financial and accounting functions related to food services.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of equipment in cooperation with administration.
  • Coordinate with various departments that require food service for special functions, i.e., private parties, holidays, celebrations, marketing events, etc.
  • Be available for duty for emergency situations.
  • Maintain disaster food supplies and menus.
  • Participate in mandatory meetings and conferences.
  • Responsible for kitchen and all food services personnel.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Employees must be able to walk, carry trays, plates, etc. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to stand and walk most of the working day. Must be able to do moderate to heavy lifting, up to 60 pounds.

The work environment is the kitchen and dining room. Its characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Institutional kitchen with mechanical food service equipment. May experience ambient air temperatures up to 80 degrees F and as low as zero degrees F. Must be well groomed wearing either chef’s jacket or business attire.
