We are currently seeking a Food Service Cook for Washington High School. This position is about 7.5 hours per day from 6:30am to 2:30pm.

The position involves the preparation and delivery of meals within the educational environment. Food service staff duties may include:

• Preparing and serving meals and snacks to students safely utilizing kitchen tools and equipment.
• Cleaning and sanitizing cooking and serving areas.
• Setting up and breaking down serving lines and managing the efficient flow of students in order to obtain and pay for their food.
• Operating the system utilized for meal purchases.
• Adhering to food safety and sanitation procedures as directed.
• Performing regular and reliable attendance as it aligns to the scope of this position.

Additional duties may include:

• Assisting with special events or emergency situations.
• Participating in professional development activities and/or training.

Supervisory responsibilities are minimal, with some student supervisory duties required.

The environment will have extreme temperatures during meal preparation and is loud when students are in the area, with a greater than average risk of minor burns and cuts.

• Starting pay range of $13.87/hr - $16.75/hr, depending on experience.
