Job Description

We are seeking a Food Service Worker IV to join our Campus Dining Services. In this role, you will direct, help train, and assist Food Service Worker (FSW) III, FSW II, Snack Bar Attendant, FSW I, and student employees in food preparation and service. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Following and ensuring proper food handling techniques.
  • Maintaining a clean, sanitary, safe, and secure working area.
  • Setting up service/preparation areas as assigned.
  • Cleaning and replenishing the service/preparation area during and after service.
  • Overseeing the operation and cleanup of dishwashing/pot-and-pan washing areas as needed.
  • Providing high-quality service to customers and assisting in meeting the department’s customer service objectives.
  • Helping the department improve and reach its vision of commitment to excellence and passion for people.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

The shift for this position is from 12:00 pm – 9:00 pm, alternating weekends. A job offer is contingent on passing a physical examination to determine if the candidate possesses the necessary physical capabilities to perform essential functions.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $18.68 - $19.69.

Skills Required extracted by

  • Completion of eighth grade or equivalent education.
  • Two years of experience in food preparation and service.
  • Some supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of food preparation, knife skills, and sanitation methods.
  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
  • ServSafe® certification is desirable.
  • Ability to handle and lift heavy kitchen utensils (up to 40 pounds).
