Your job requirements include a High School Diploma and a Food Handler’s Permit. You must possess the ability to follow instructions and work independently with little or no supervision. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks well are essential. A basic understanding of normal and therapeutic diets, food safety, and basic computer skills is required. Experience working with a licensed dietician is preferred, and being a Diet Technician Registered (DTR) is also preferred.

Your job responsibilities involve interviewing residents to obtain food preferences and completing the Resident Food Profile. You will update residents' food preferences into the tray card database and refer residents to the dietician for any nutritional or eating issues.
