Your culinary career starts in the kitchens at Thomas Cuisine! You’ll learn from, and work alongside some of the hospitality industry’s most talented executive and sous chefs. Every day on the job is a specialized training program that helps you excel and become a leader. Learn and grow and take the opportunity to refine your skills through our in-house training programs.

Days and shifts vary; includes weekend availability. The pay is $17.00+/hour depending on experience.

The Cook performs a wide variety of tasks and processes to prepare and cook food for patients, employees, and visitors, following standard practices and procedures while complying with regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include:

  • Following standard recipes, filling out production sheets, and other documentation to ensure nutritious, high-quality, cost-effective meals.
  • Handling food and equipment in accordance with sanitation and safety practices.
  • Preparing orders for patients, staff, visitors, and catering using standardized recipes and service and/or plating guidelines.
  • Taking note of variances in recipes and plating guidelines and communicating issues to the Executive Chef.
  • Assisting customers with orders by answering menu and recipe-related questions.
  • Building rapport with guests.
  • Following regulations and established standards applicable to personal hygiene and food preparation, handling, and disposal.
  • Performing related duties as required.
