The Hope Cafe at Shodair is looking to add an experienced Cook to our team! Responsibilities include following standard recipes, production sheets, tallies, and ingredient room sheets to achieve nutritious, high-quality, cost-effective meals, and handling food and equipment in accordance with sanitation and safety practices.

The Ideal Candidate Is Someone Who:

• Has 5-7 years of experience as a cook or equivalent education.
• Can competently and accurately process and prepare diet and nourishment orders for patients with knowledge and understanding of therapeutic diets and allergies.
• Promotes teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
• Has knowledge of cooking methods and procedures, including various types of preparation and related routines as well as maintenance and operation of all kitchen equipment.

Requirements

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE.

• Required education and experience: Approximately 5 years of experience in high volume food production, or 7 years of relevant experience in lieu of education with director approval.
• Preferred education and experience: High school diploma/ GED.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE

• ServSafe Manager Certification, Certified Professional Food Manager (CPFM) Certificate required within 90 days of hire.
