Job Description

We are looking for a Sauté Cook who will report directly to the Senior-Ranking Employee, Restaurant Manager, or Owners. The ideal candidate should have previous experience in restaurant work with line cooking experience and adequate food preparation/handling skills.

The Sauté Cook is expected to help the restaurant, fellow staff members, managers, and its owners to serve customers and manage their station to achieve Total Customer Satisfaction. Each customer’s visit to the restaurant should meet or exceed their expectations of quality in food & service, cleanliness, and value, all in a fun environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Keeping the restaurant area clean, safe, and sanitized.
  • Meeting and greeting all customers in a pleasant, cheerful, and helpful manner.
  • Following standard method-of-prep sheets and recipes for preparing all menu items.
  • Maintaining a good rapport with all staff members.
  • Working without supervision and showing initiative and a desire to succeed.

As part of your role, you will also be responsible for:

  • Reviewing the Daily Prep List and ensuring thorough review of items used for service.
  • Stocking and maintaining sufficient levels of food products at the line station.
  • Preparing a variety of noodle and salad dishes accurately and timely.
  • Maintaining a clean and sanitary work area, including tables, shelves, and kitchen equipment.

This position requires bending, stooping, and some heavy lifting (minimum of 50 lbs). You must be able to work in a standing position for extended periods of time (up to 8 hours) and demonstrate punctuality and reliability.
