Job Description

Food Service Associate

Prepare food to order and according to specified quality, speed, and standards.

Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work environment.

  • Key Responsibilities: Prepare food items according to established quality, consistency, and time standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all health code requirements and company standards.
  • Maintain adequate stocking, cleanliness, and organization of the work area throughout the day.
  • Operate equipment safely, adhering to company safety standards and OSHA regulations.
  • Complete all prep tasks according to recipes, procedures, and quality/speed standards.
  • Contribute to a positive guest experience by exceeding expectations.
  • Other Duties: Respond to guest requests, special orders, and dietary restrictions by preparing orders to their specifications.
  • Maintain proper food storage, receiving, discarding, stocking, and rotation, following company standards.
  • Work closely and communicate effectively with Back of House (BOH) and Front of House (FOH) staff in a fast-paced environment, performing various time-sensitive tasks.
  • Perform cleaning and other assigned side work duties.

Physical Requirements:

  • 100% Walking and standing for extended periods.
  • 75% Working at approximately 36 tables/stoves and reaching approximately 36 feet.
  • 75% Reaching (including overhead), bending, stooping, and wiping.
  • 60% Performing job at a continuous high pace, under pressure, maintaining quality and speed standards.
  • 15% Lifting and carrying sacks, boxes, and product up to 50 pounds from the floor to above waist level (approximately 20 feet), sometimes involving stairs. Lifting belt supplied and required.

Essential Training Requirements:

  • Successful completion of hourly position training, including follow-up shifts, demonstrations, training materials, and required video viewing.

Qualifications:

  • Must be 16 years old to be hired, 18 years old to operate mandated equipment, and meet any other state and/or government regulations.
