Great Western Dining Service is looking for a skilled Prep Cook to prepare delicious meals. An excellent cook must be able to follow instructions, be deft in moving around the kitchen, and apt in multitasking. Experience in using various ingredients and cooking techniques is important.

• Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
• Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat, etc.)
• Prepare, portion, and cook food items for various meal periods or special events
• Provide excellent customer service, including answering questions and addressing concerns
• Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served
• Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
• Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
• Follow all company HACCP and safety policies

Requirements:

• Continuous walking and other means of mobility
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push/pull, and frequently lift/move up to 30 pounds

• Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.).
