Job Description

Are you a Sous Chef looking to work for an amazing organization dedicated to serving others and fostering strong coworker relationships? Immanuel Communities is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Full-time Floating Sous Chef to join our team at the Omaha Immanuel communities.

This position requires availability to work varied schedules, including:

  • 6:00am to 2:30pm
  • 10:30am to 7:30pm
  • Various days of the week, including holidays.

Compensation for this role is up to $25.00/hour, based on experience, certifications, skills, and education.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Performing all types of food preparation, including but not limited to baking, grilling, stove-top and oven cooking.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Overseeing kitchen staff progress, projects, and special events (as assigned).
  • Managing certain aspects of food preparation within the kitchen.
  • Participating in inventory management.
  • Overseeing kitchen operations in the absence of the Team Lead of Food & Nutrition Services.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of culinary experience.
