Cook

The Cook is responsible for preparing menu items to be served to restaurant guests, ensuring the highest quality by adhering to proper procedures and cooking times. Maintaining appropriate shortening levels and cleanliness, while also being mindful of projected sales and product requirements is essential.

  • Ensure every order is prepared exactly as requested by the guest, with the highest possible quality and speed.
  • Treat all guests and team members with respect.
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and comfortable work area for guests and team members.
  • Ensure all ingredients and food products are properly stored, handled, prepared, and presented with the utmost care and concern for food safety.
  • Unload inventory from delivery trucks.
  • Stock inventory using day dots to ensure proper rotation.
  • Clean interior building areas as needed, and clean drains and filters in accordance with standard operating procedures.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • No prior experience required.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and training materials.

Physical Demands/Working Conditions

  • This role requires regular standing and walking, as well as communicating with co-workers through talking and listening.
  • Frequent handling, feeling, and reaching with hands and arms is required.
  • Occasional sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling may be necessary.
  • Occasional lifting and/or moving of items up to 50 pounds may be required.
  • Specific vision abilities include peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Occasional exposure to cooking fumes.
  • The work environment usually has a moderate noise level.
