Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado Santa Fe is seeking a dynamic individual for Cook II. An individual who shares our passion for achieving service excellence and infuses enthusiasm into everything he/she does!

What are we looking for?

  • A genuine, caring, and compassionate individual with a passion for hospitality, integrity, and accountability.
  • An individual who lets their personality shine through and can be themselves.
  • High school education, cooking school, or culinary institute education preferred.
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in similar kitchen/hotel operations.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to accomplish all major responsibilities, which may include some evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Legal work authorization in the United States is required. (Unless currently in a managerial position at a Four Seasons location.)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Run the day-to-day operation of your assigned station in the kitchen.
  • Assist in creating and preparing menu items and specials.
  • Check and complete mise en place and pars, and set up the station.
  • Efficiently perform on your work station for breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner service with minimal guidance.
  • Communicate with Sous Chefs and the Executive Chef regarding menu items, problem situations, or shortages.
  • Start food items prepared ahead of time, ensuring not to prepare beyond estimated needs.
  • Date all food containers and rotate them as per policies, ensuring that all perishables are kept at proper temperatures.
  • Work closely with standard recipes and plate presentations to maintain standards of quality in production and presentation.
  • Maintain a good working relationship with other employees.
  • Store items properly at the end of the shift.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Ensure a clean, neat, and organized work area.
  • Conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times to reflect the high standards of Four Seasons Hotels.
  • Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and staff.
  • Follow all guidelines for timely food service to guests.
  • Have knowledge of Four Seasons Food Standards.
