COOK - Full-Time Position

Mazzone is seeking highly motivated and experienced COOKS to join our team at our Regeneron location. The location is located at 81 Columbia Turnpike, Rensselaer, NY 12144. Only online applications are accepted.

  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 5:00 AM to 2:00 PM. More details upon interview.

  • Requirement: Previous culinary experience is preferred but not required.
  • Pay Range: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Prepares food according to company standards, guidelines, and regulations. Ensures the consistent delivery of high-quality food service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepares food items according to standardized recipes and instructions.
  • Serves meals or prepares for delivery using correct portioning, ensuring food is at the appropriate temperature, attractive, and tasty. Tastes all prepared food items.
  • Follows established ticket collection procedures and maintains records.
  • Maintains a clean and sanitized kitchen environment after preparation and serving.
  • Stores or discards excess food according to safe food-handling procedures.
  • Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized.
  • Ensures food and supply items are stored per standards.
  • Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed.
  • Assists with production planning, record keeping, and reporting.
  • Assists with ordering and receiving of food and supplies.
  • Reports needed maintenance, faulty equipment, or accidents immediately to the supervisor.
  • Attends in-service and safety meetings.
  • Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers.
  • Performs job safely and maintains a clean, safe work environment.
  • Ensures proper presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures; follows HACCP standards
  • Maintains personal commitment to your own safety and the safety of others.
  • Abides by all Company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines regarding the use of gloves, oven mitts, slip-resistant shoes, and proper lifting techniques.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
