Sodexo is seeking an Executive Chef to join our team at our Showcase Account, Woodland Pond, in New Paltz, NY. This upscale Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) embodies the true spirit of community where Residents enjoy the security of a worry-free lifestyle. Located in the beautiful Hudson Valley region, this campus provides active Seniors a variety of programs and amenities, as well as a full continuum of on-site healthcare services.

We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative Chef to lead our culinary team. The Executive Chef manages the food production for resident dining with the focus on resident well-being. Responsibilities include supervision and training of the back of house staff, inventory management and purchasing, food quality and standards, food & kitchen safety and sanitation monitors for regulatory compliance.

• Demonstrate experience supervising a culinary team and exceptional human resource and supervisory/management skillset.
• Possess a hands-on, innovative leadership approach to management.
• Are able to work independently and make sound business decisions within company guidelines.
• Have the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Have experience managing a food service operations budget.
• Are knowledgeable in compliance to food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace safety standards.

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience

Basic Management Experience - 2 years

Basic Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
