Cook

As a Cook at TA, you'll be a vital member of our restaurant team, responsible for preparing and presenting delicious meals to our valued guests. Your dedication to quality and customer satisfaction will help us maintain our commitment to providing a positive experience for every traveler.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Preparing and presenting high-quality food according to guest specifications and plate presentation guidelines.
• Performing prep cook tasks, including washing, chopping, and sorting ingredients.
• Operating grills, fryers, and broilers, following established line check sheets.
• Maintaining proper food handling, storage, and waste control procedures, adhering to all safety guidelines.
• Maintaining equipment according to operating standards.
• Prioritizing tasks based on restaurant and guest needs.
• Communicating effectively with leaders and coworkers.
• Completing necessary prep, freezer pull, and temperature checklists.
• Reporting any potential safety hazards.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Previous food service experience is a plus.
• Strong verbal communication skills are essential.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and some holidays.
• Strong teamwork skills and dedication to providing exceptional customer service are essential.

Physical Demands and Environment:

• Regularly required to talk and hear.
• Occasional standing, walking, kneeling, stooping, bending, crouching, crawling, climbing, and repetitive use of legs.
• Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs and/or moving heavy objects.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Exposure to outdoor elements in all seasons.
• Occasional exposure to fumes, particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.
• Potential exposure to dirt, dust, grime, grease, oil, gas, high-concentrated cleaning solutions, etc.
• Work environment may be loud at times.

Compensation:

$18.00 per hour (Pay range reflects potential pay. Actual pay depends on various factors.)
