As a Senior Executive Chef, you will lead culinary operations within a new unit, ensuring top-tier service and innovative culinary experiences. This role is crucial in the dynamic opening team, responsible for on-trend, efficient, and safe food production. Your responsibilities include menu development, inventory management, purchasing, food cost controls, and staff management and development. This role provides ample opportunity to work with a team of great professionals.

  • Lead culinary aspects relating to Food Hall & Cafe Operations
  • Develop and maintain high culinary standards for dining and Food Hall operations
  • Create and update menu programming based on market trends, seasonality, and in-unit promotions
  • Schedule culinary staff based on participation and high-volume service periods
  • Participate in management and client meetings for business plans and unit operations
  • Train, develop, and inspire the local culinary team
  • Lead Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives, food seasonality, health/wellness, and high-quality culinary arts on campus
  • Analyze operational performance and trends to devise and lead improvements
  • Accurately explain daily menu items to customers
  • Manage and analyze budgetary requirements for product cost and inventory
  • Maintain and enforce strong HACCP, Food, and Safety programs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Culinary degree preferred
  • 5-7 years of progressive culinary or kitchen management experience in a high-volume operation
  • Experience planning and managing catering events from a culinary perspective
  • Strong leadership skills and a desire to work with an industry leader
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends, focusing on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
  • Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office, Email, and the Internet)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of communicating effectively with management, departments, customers, and associates
  • ServSafe® Certification and New York food Handlers Certificate preferred

Salary: $115,000 - $130,000
