Carolina Reserve of Laurel Park in Hendersonville, North Carolina is seeking cooks to assist in the preparation, oversight, and serving of meals. Our cooks are responsible for delivering top notch food service in a high-quality, cutting-edge Community. The successful candidates will employ their culinary and managerial skills in order to play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our resident's satisfaction.

  • Ability to prepare palatable foods that are appetizing in appearance.
  • Knowledge of safety and sanitary requirements.
  • Ability to learn basic tasks and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Pleasant, friendly and helpful at all times ensuring proper and timely service.
  • Well-groomed and ability to follow dress requirements.

Skills Required extracted by

  • Maintains a current ServSafe certificate or able to participate in the food services sanitation training.
  • High School diploma or GED accepted.
  • A culinary apprenticeship or training is preferred.
  • One (1) year job related experience including food preparation.
  • Must be 16 years or older (18 for operating power-driven machines).
  • Three years’ experience in a healthcare, hospitality or service environment preferred.
  • Culinary Arts Experience Preferred.
  • CPR & First-Aid certifications preferred.
  • Ability to work well with others and promote a team environment.
