The cook will be responsible for following planned menus and preparing food items for resident and staff meals, as well as special events. Responsibilities include:
In the absence of the Dietary Director, the cook will assume responsibility for the dietary department and will be in charge of staff. If inadequate staff is available, the cook will assume responsibility for finding replacements and will work an assignment if replacement staff cannot be found.
Job requirements include being 18 years of age or older, having a High School Diploma or equivalent, and the ability to use equipment safely. The cook must demonstrate a neat appearance and good personal hygiene, and must read, know, and follow personnel, department, and facility policies.
