Job Description

Trilogy® Lake Norman is seeking an Executive Chef to join our Kitchen Management Team. The Club features indoor and outdoor pools, access to a fleet of boats at nearby Lake Norman, and a vibrant restaurant, The Foundry.

As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for the strategic planning and daily operations of multi-outlet kitchens and the kitchen staff. You will report to the Director of Food & Beverage and manage kitchen operations, including:

  • Forecasting inventory and budget.
  • Menu and food planning.
  • Resource planning and waste management.
  • Building positive customer relations.
  • Controlling food costs while maintaining quality.
  • Managing weekly inventory and labor tracking.

Your role will also involve:

  • Leading and developing a talented kitchen team.
  • Creating a safe and collaborative working environment.
  • Recognizing and celebrating team members' successes.
  • Maintaining the standard of excellence in the kitchen.

The ideal candidate must be highly customer-oriented, able to work under pressure, and have strong team-building skills. You must also embody the core values of BlueStar Resort & Golf: Honesty and Integrity, Respect for the Individual, Teamwork, and Competitive Spirit.

This position requires flexibility, including evenings and weekends, and involves working in an indoor kitchen environment as well as outdoor events.

Skills Required extracted by

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an Executive Chef or Kitchen Manager.
  • Supervisory experience, preferably 1 to 3 years.
  • American Culinary Federation certification preferred.
  • Current Food Handlers card.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel.
  • Strong problem-solving and reporting skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strategic planning and change management skills.
