Job Description

To prepare Pick & Prep product and provide product preparation services to create a sensory and engaging experience for guests, while operating at or above company standards.

Responsibilities include actively engaging guests through product preparation, active sampling, and suggestive selling. You will personally demonstrate superior guest service at all times, which includes storytelling about specific products within the department, highlighting product benefits such as Fresh, Healthy, Seasonal, and most importantly Local. Demonstrate knife showmanship skills to highlight the services and show offered at Pick & Prep. You will operate the Pick & Prep area according to strict merchandising and operational standards, ensuring the quality of product for sale meets Lowes Foods standards. Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department according to Lowes Foods standards. Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking, merchandising, and guest service as necessary to achieve standards. Perform PA announcements and all other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications include a friendly and outgoing personality, the ability to actively engage guests, and a willingness to have fun with our guests. You should have the ability to work well with others, lift weights as required, read and understand information and direction, and have knowledge of Pick & Prep operations. You must demonstrate the ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job, including knife skills. Effective communication, guest service, and selling skills are essential. You must be at least 18 years old and have the ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods of time. Lastly, you should be able to effectively communicate with and take direction from supervision and work well with computers and scales.
