Essential Functions

  • Order, stock, prepare, and serve food to residents at designated College Fresh accounts.
  • Prepare all menu items, maintaining the kitchen and food service areas to meet the highest quality standards and public health guidelines.
  • Develop and submit weekly menus to the menu-sharing system in advance, as directed by management.
  • Manage the food service budget, organize, and submit invoices as directed by management.
  • Maintain complete and legible copies of all receipts using the company expense tracking system.
  • Receive inventory, stock supplies, and adhere to all management, client, state, and local cleanliness and sanitation regulations.
  • Provide excellent customer service and represent College Fresh professionally by addressing client needs, requests, and concerns promptly, professionally, and courteously.
  • Assist the Regional Manager with subordinate staff hiring and training as needed.
  • Prepare occasional special event meals (recruitment, homecoming, etc.), as required.
  • Perform routine tasks like dishwashing, mopping, and garbage removal, as needed or in the absence of dedicated staff.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned and/or agreed upon with the Regional Manager.

Work Environment

This role operates in a kitchen environment with equipment such as ovens, stoves, dishwashers, slicers, coffee machines, steamers, mixers, and chef's knives. The employee will be frequently exposed to heat, steam, fire, and noise.

Physical Demands

The following physical demands must be met to perform essential job functions: Occasionally required to sit, stand, reach, lift (up to 30 pounds), bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push, and pull items. The position requires standing for extended periods.

Requires the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures.

Additional Requirements

  • Must obtain and maintain a current ServSafe Food Protection Manager certificate or equivalent from a nationally recognized program.
  • Must adhere to all College Fresh policies and procedures outlined in the employee handbook.
  • Must obtain and maintain a valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
  • Must maintain proof of individual auto insurance as required by the company's safe driver policy.
