Shift: Evening

Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week. Hours are typically 11:30 am - 8:00 pm, with rotating holidays and weekends.

Salary: $15.00 - $23.00

Job Summary:

We are seeking a friendly, team-oriented, customer service-driven Cook to assemble, prepare, season, and portion food for individuals within our facility. This role offers flexible scheduling, predictable hours, and training, with advancement opportunities. As a Cook, you'll also play a critical role in ensuring compliance with dietary needs while maintaining a sanitary culinary work environment. Excellent communication, reading, and writing skills are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing and providing high-quality, safe food.
• Following standardized recipes and guidelines for food preparation, storage, and use.
• Maintaining accurate labeling and storage of food, equipment, and machinery.
• Performing thorough washing and cleaning duties to ensure sanitation.
• Operating various kitchen equipment, including mixers, slicers, kettles, ovens, and food grinders.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions.
• Proficiency in basic math.
• Minimum of six months of applicable experience preferred.
• On-the-job training will be provided.
• ServSafe certification may be required, depending on the location of hire, and must be obtained within a designated timeframe. Additional ServSafe endorsements may be required.
• Fulfillment of annual continuing education requirements, including departmental meetings, safety education, and mandatory in-services, is expected.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification may be required, depending on location.
• Depending on location, a valid driver's license may be required.
