Individual contributor position responsible for assisting the Chef with food preparation and menu planning. Has oversight of front-line associates to ensure service standards are met. Creates an optimal customer service environment demonstrated by prompt service, quality food, and a clean and safe Foodservice Operation.

Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for general cooking duties in preparing food items (grill, stir-fry, etc.) for all production areas including Mobile Order Delivery.
  • Prepares or directs preparation of catering menu items according to prescribed menus and recipes.
  • Works with clients to develop menus according to food cost, sets up and breaks down caterings as needed.
  • Oversees sanitation and food safety standards for each Café operation in Food Services department.
  • Lead, engage, and develop teams, including training, coaching, and managing performance.
  • Ensure cleanliness and high Food Safety standards in addition to handling of all food products and equipment.
  • Assists with miscellaneous Café projects and BBW initiatives.
  • Responsible for inventory management and ordering.
  • Partners with Cook II’s to develop daily specials and/or price menus.
  • Assists Chef Managers with the standardization and documentation of recipes.
  • Oversight of multiple service stations and will lead the team in the presence or absence of Chef Managers.
  • Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality service.

Qualifications:

  • Culinary Degree or associate's degree in related field preferred but not required.
  • Food and safety sanitation certification preferred.
