At Thomas Cuisine, we're looking for a passionate and skilled Cook to join our team. You'll play a vital role in preparing and serving delicious, nutritious meals to patients, employees, and visitors, following all safety and sanitation protocols. You'll work within a supportive environment dedicated to providing exceptional service and high-quality food.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing orders using standardized recipes and service/plating guidelines.
  • Documenting any recipe or plating variations and reporting them to the Executive Chef.
  • Assisting customers with menu and recipe questions.
  • Building positive relationships with guests.
  • Adhering to all regulations and standards related to personal hygiene and food handling.
  • Performing other related duties as needed.
  • Following standard recipes, completing production sheets, and ensuring nutritious, high-quality, and cost-effective meals.
  • Handling food and equipment in accordance with sanitation and safety practices.

Who We Seek:

  • One year of experience in a fast-food, restaurant, hospitality, or other culinary environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of HACCP food handling standards and industry standards for personal hygiene is required.
  • Knowledge of basic short-order food preparation activities/techniques.
  • ServSafe Certification is a plus.
  • A valid OR state food handler's permit is required.

Compensation: $16.50/hour + based on experience.

Schedule: Days and late evening shifts vary; includes weekend availability. Shifts start as early as 6am and run until as late as 9pm.
