Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals in accordance with menus, diet plans, recipes, portion sizes, temperature controls, and facility policies.
• Assist with cleaning and sanitizing work areas, equipment, dishes, and utensils.
• Verify meal trays for accuracy and dietary needs; ensure proper food storage and adherence to sanitary, safety, and infection control procedures.
• Operate in a non-temperature controlled environment, including working near ovens, stoves, walk-in refrigerators/freezers.
• Maintain adequate food and supply levels for subsequent meals; assist in inventory management and reporting of hazardous conditions, accidents, or incidents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Food Handler's permit/ServSafe certification (as required by state)
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to positively interact with residents, families, and colleagues
