Cook - Medford Market of Choice

Medford Market of Choice is seeking experienced and passionate cooks to join our vibrant and professional team. Our state-of-the-art kitchens provide an excellent opportunity for culinary career advancement. This position offers a starting salary of $15/hour - $18/hour, with potential for growth up to $19/hour based on experience.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Assisting the Chef/Kitchen Manager with daily tasks.
  • Collaborating with the Chef/Kitchen Manager to ensure efficient order and production scheduling.
  • Preparing a variety of dishes, including sandwiches, salads, entrees, catering trays, and soups for both hot and cold cases.
  • Performing counter work during peak periods.
  • Delivering orders promptly and efficiently.
  • Assisting the Chef/Kitchen Manager with ordering and managing inventory (fresh, frozen, and sundry).
  • Training new kitchen staff and assistants.
  • Preparing deep-fried, baked, and stovetop foods, and salads.
  • Maintaining positive relationships with customers, vendors, and colleagues.
  • Adhering to all health and safety sanitation standards. A current Food Handler card is required.

Qualifications:

  • At least one year of professional cooking experience.
  • Availability to work any shift, including weekends.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
