We are currently seeking a Cook to support our clients and staff. The cook is responsible for the preparation and serving of high-quality food in a timely, efficient, sanitary and consistent manner; operating and cleaning kitchen equipment; and maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the kitchen and service areas. Pay rate: $16 per hour

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Prepares, cooks and serves food in accordance with established policies and procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Complies with food safety standards and guidelines during all phases of food handling.
• Adheres to portion control by using standardized recipes and proper utensils for measurement.
• Completes all required documentation including but not limited to food and equipment temperature logs.
• Washes and sanitizes dishes, utensils and equipment, and returns to proper storage areas as requested.
• Performs daily and/or scheduled cleaning tasks as assigned.
• Operates and cleans equipment per department procedures; reports needed maintenance and faulty equipment to supervisor immediately.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Licensure, Education & Experience

• Previous food preparation experience preferred.
• Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and the ability to operate kitchen equipment preferred.
• SERV-Safe certification or be willing to obtain upon hire.
