Job Description

Sodexo Live!'s Airport Lounge Segment has an exciting opportunity for an Executive Sous Chef to support the team at the new Sapphire Lounge by The Club in the Philadelphia International Airport. We are looking for a chef with prior culinary supervisory/leadership skills and hands-on food production experience to join our growing team. Sodexo will be operating and managing this exclusive, luxury airport lounge, which will offer top-tier amenities and expanded premium food and beverage offerings to its elite guests. The position reports to the Food and Beverage Director.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Purchasing, menu/recipe compliance, inventory, food production forecasting, and hands-on cooking.
  • Supervision of large-scale batch cooking.
  • Ensuring Sodexo culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented.
  • Developing and motivating team members to embrace culinary innovations.
  • Ensuring food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standard compliance.
  • Having a working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production, and management systems.

  • The ability to work a flexible schedule that includes early mornings or late evenings, including weekends and some holidays.
  • Coaching and employee supervision abilities.

While the budgeted range for the position is posted, Sodexo salary offers are based on a candidate's specific criteria, like experience, skills, education, and training.

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience.

Basic Management Experience - 2 years.

Basic Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
