The Role
Prepare food items of consistent quality according to guest orders following recipe, as well as production, portion, and presentation standards; strong knowledge of health codes and full understanding of all knife cuts. Work all stations on the line (grill, sauté, cold line). Prepare food items according to guest orders of consistent quality following recipe cards, as well as production, portion, and presentation standards.
Complete mise en place and set-up station for lunch and/or dinner service; operates, upholds and properly cleans kitchen equipment while maintaining a safe, sanitary work environment. Label and date all food containers and rotates as per policies; checks pars for shift use, determines necessary preparation, freezer pull and line set up; notes any out-of-stock items or possible shortages; returns all food items not used to designated storage areas.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Ability to work cleanly and efficiently. Ability to learn a new station fully and effectively within one month. Attention to detail. Strong communication skills. Strong interpersonal and team player skills.
