Job Description

HIROKI is an immersive soulful Japanese dining concept deeply rooted in tradition and technique. The menu is overseen by Executive Chef, Hiroki Fujiyama. HIROKI is located in the historical neighborhood of Fishtown, Philadelphia. The restaurant’s service approach focuses on the art of omotenashi, emphasizing harmony and attention to detail in anticipation of the guest’s needs to enhance the overall hospitality experience.

Qualified Candidates Will Possess The Following:

  • Attention to Detail: Pay close attention to detail in all aspects of food preparation, from ingredient selection to plating presentation. Ensure that every dish meets the exacting standards expected by the Chef team.
  • Passion for Excellence: Demonstrate a passion for culinary excellence and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences to guests. Strive for continuous improvement and innovation in both technique and presentation.

Line Cook Job Responsibilities:

  • Be an integral part of providing a world-class culinary experience.
  • Work in a safe, clean manner paying attention to the quality and sanitation of the product.
  • Prepare all menu items according to recipe requirements and adhere to product sensitivity and plate presentation guidelines.
  • Work with speed and efficiency to ensure proper and timely output of restaurant menu items.
  • Ensure proper execution of recipe procedures to maintain a high quality and consistency of product.
  • Help maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen area throughout your shift.
  • Complete assigned prep work for stocking and set up of your station.
  • Ensure proper rotation of all products to par.
  • Obtain Chef/Manager signature/approval on all product/prepped items and sauces.
  • Follow all proper food safety practices and kitchen safety practices.
  • Continue to improve upon existing skill set.
  • Adherence to Company Policies and Procedures.
  • Passion for food, beverage and hospitality.
  • Ability to multi-task in a high volume, fast paced environment.
  • Team oriented mentality.
  • Dependability.
