Job Description

Responsible for preparing food for the dining room and for patients under the direction of the Cook II/Executive Chef.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and cooling of foods using standardized recipes, production sheets, and HACCP Records under the supervision of a cook.
  • Prepare and cook food on grill.
  • Serves and plates meals for patient services.
  • Control quantity and quality of foods used daily by taking inventory and ordering supplies as needed.
  • Maintain high standards of food handling and cleanliness in the work area.
  • Responsible for cleaning the production area prior to the end of the shift.
  • Maintain principles of proper food production and other related activities.
  • Assist with catered events for food preparation and service.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications And Specifications:

  • High School Diploma is required.
  • Vocational/technical training and a minimum of one year’s job-related experience required.
  • Must be able to follow directions, both oral and written.
  • Must be able to read and write, use simple arithmetic, and keep simple records.
  • Proficiency in the English language is required.
