As an Executive Chef, you will be an inspirational and organized leader who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves to ensure the overall success of daily kitchen operations. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Recruiting and training team members.
  • Food preparation and ensuring the delivery of show quality food.
  • Maximizing resident, employee, and client satisfaction.
  • Meeting monthly budget and managing food and labor costs.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation protocols.

You will lead daily culinary production, ensuring compliance with all safety and sanitation standards and regulations, while also determining food presentation and creating decorative displays. Additionally, you will:

  • Provide direction on menu development based on product availability.
  • Research customer preferences to create a menu incorporating local foods.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and workers engaged in food preparation.
  • Monitor the quality of raw and cooked food products.

Your role will also involve business and financial acumen, including:

  • Participating in developing and implementing business strategies.
  • Managing department controllable expenses.
  • Developing guidelines for purchasing and receiving.
  • Controlling food cost, labor, and other expenses.

Ensuring exceptional customer service is key, as you will:

  • Create 100% resident satisfaction through training and resources.
  • Communicate and assist individuals to understand guest needs.
  • Empower employees to provide excellent customer service.
  • Review resident satisfaction results to identify areas of improvement.

Team building and management are essential as well. You will:

  • Lead team member meetings and establish performance goals.
  • Solicit employee feedback and address concerns.
  • Provide necessary training and tools to team members.
  • Offer coaching and counseling to achieve performance objectives.
