Castle Hill Inn is looking for a Restaurant Chef to join the team.

Nestled on 40 acres overlooking the southwestern corner of Narragansett Bay, Castle Hill Inn – a Relais & Chateaux hotel – is a coastal haven where guests come to relax and rejuvenate against a spectacular New England backdrop, a location that is second to none. The property features guest rooms that are perched on the sand dunes of our private beach, a banquet facility, and two restaurants featuring the talents of the culinary team. In the Restaurant Chef role, you will be part of a passionate culinary team and will work with the Executive Chef to oversee and lead the daily operations.

You will have a strong culinary background and be passionate about food and the guest experience.

Essential Duties:

• Daily management of kitchen operations and coordination of all kitchen activities including private dining.
• Daily monitoring of prep production and quality checks.
• Ensures a quality guest experience through oversight of employees preparing and cooking food.
• Ongoing development of BOH employees and kitchen supervisory positions.
• Assist with inventory and purchasing/storage.

• A minimum of 2 years of previous experience as an Executive Sous Chef or Chef de Cuisine in a full-service establishment.
• Culinary Arts degree preferred, but exceptional experience is acceptable.
• Strong communication skills.
• Proven history of high-quality cuisine, preferably in high volume production of fresh, scratch food.
• Experience in cost controls.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift and move 25-50 pounds.
• Collaborative team approach to creating an equitable workplace environment.
