Cook - Hourly Position

We're seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to contribute to our team's success. This is an hourly paid position with flexible hours to meet the demands of our business.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepares all food items, following standard recipes and procedures within specified time limits.
  • Assists cooks in the preparation of basic dessert items.
  • Preps assigned items according to the Prep Lists and par levels set by management.
  • Stores and properly handles raw or prepared foods and non-food supplies.
  • Properly measures and assembles ingredients required for preparing standard recipes.
  • Cuts and/or portions meat, fish, and poultry.
  • Cleans and sanitizes production equipment, work surfaces, and the kitchen according to cleaning schedules and procedures.
  • Maintains an assigned workstation in a safe and sanitary condition.
  • Handles food in a manner consistent with local health department guidelines.
  • Follows proper food handling techniques and coordinates the use of time, material, and equipment to avoid waste and unnecessary expense.
  • Maintains acceptable standards of personal hygiene.
  • Complies with the department’s dress code.
  • Follows safety regulations, reports injuries or unsafe conditions and work practices to the supervisor.
  • Attends in-service training and education sessions as assigned.
  • Follows all designated uniform, grooming, safety, and sanitation rules and regulations.

Position Type and Hours

This is an hourly position. Days and hours vary according to business hours and job requirements. Business operates seven (7) days a week; hours start as early as 9 AM and can go as late as 2 AM depending on the work required.

Compensation

Competitive hourly compensation of $18.00 - $25.00.

  • “ServSafe” Certified is a plus.
