Food Service Associate

Prepare, cook, and present food orders according to company standards and timeframes.

• Prepare, cook, and present food items following company brand standards, guidelines, and recipe specifications.
• Adhere to proper food preparation procedures, utilizing prep charts, and maintain proper storage and rotation of perishable items.
• Ensure food is maintained at correct temperatures in accordance with Denny's Brand Standards, federal, state, and local regulations.
• Prepare special orders as needed.
• Organize and maintain work areas, coolers, and storage areas.
• Assist with product inventory and deliveries as needed.
• Complete assigned prep work as needed.
• Clean, sanitize, and organize work areas.
• Assist service assistants periodically.
• Adhere to all safe food handling principles.

Accountabilities: Customer orders are prepared following company specifications, safe food handling, and timing standards.

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Reliable and flexible.
• Team player.
• Sufficient mobility to move and/or operate in the work area.
• Ability to ensure product is prepared and presented to company requirements.
• Basic math skills, including understanding of units of measure.
• Compliance with all state, county, or municipal regulations pertaining to food handling health risks.
• Preferred: At least 2 years of work experience or a combination of experience and culinary schooling.
