Job Description

We are seeking a culinary professional to manage banquet food preparation at the JW Marriott Dallas Arts District. This role involves coordinating menus, purchasing, scheduling, food preparation, and plating for catering events. The individual will be responsible for delivering a consistent, high-quality product with an appetizing presentation while maintaining the operating budget and ensuring sanitation and food standards are achieved.

The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma or GED along with either 4 years of culinary experience or a 2-year degree in Culinary Arts with 2 years of related experience.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in food presentation and creating decorative displays.
  • Checking the quality of raw and cooked food products.
  • Managing the BEO process including menu development and pricing.
  • Supervising and coordinating activities of cooks and kitchen staff.
  • Empowering employees to provide excellent customer service.
  • Conducting training and ensuring employees are cross-trained.

The salary range for this position is $68,000 to $81,000 annually. Benefits include a bonus program, health care benefits, and various other incentives.
